Poems 282 and 283 appear in the story "Amatsu otome" in Harusame monogatari by Ueda Akinari (NKBT, vol. 56, p. 161). See also Tales of the Spring Rain, translated by Barry Jackman, pp. 41-43. The version of poem 282 appearing in Ueda Akinari''s work goes: Ishi no ue ni/ Tabine wa sureba/ Hada samushi/ Koke no koromo o/ Warenikasanan. 16. ... Ro Shosho or Sojo Henjo had two sons— Yusei (841-914) and Ha- rutoshi (dates unknown), better known as Sosei Hoshi.
